Kaduna State University (KASU) Releases 2025/2026 Academic Calendar

The Directorate of Academic Planning at Kaduna State University has published the official academic calendar for the 2025/2026 session, detailing key dates for both the first and second semesters.

First Semester (2025/2026)

• 5th January 2026: Resumption of students
• 8th December 2025 – 23rd January 2026: Screening and course registration for fresh and returning students (3 weeks)
• 26th January – 13th March 2026: Lectures and Continuous Assessment (CA) (7 weeks)
• 16th – 22nd March 2026: Mid-semester break and online Add/Drop exercise (1 week)
• 23rd March – 8th May 2026: Continuation of lectures and CA (6 weeks)
• 11th – 30th May 2026: Examinations and marking (3 weeks)
• 1st – 14th June 2026: Processing of results (2 weeks)
• 15th – 19th June 2026: Consideration and release of results by Senate (1 week)
• 22nd – 28th June 2026: First-semester break (1 week)
• 29th June 2026: Commencement of second semester

Second Semester (2025/2026)

• 29th June 2026: Resumption of students
• 29th June – 14th August 2026: Lectures and Continuous Assessment (7 weeks)
• 17th – 21st August 2026: Mock accreditation, mid-semester break, and Add/Drop exercise (1 week)
• 24th August – 9th October 2026: Continuation of lectures and CA (6 weeks)
• 12th – 16th October 2026: Students’ Union elections and inauguration (1 week)
• 19th October – 7th November 2026: Examinations and marking (3 weeks)
• 9th – 20th November 2026: Processing of results (2 weeks)
• 23rd – 25th November 2026: Consideration and release of results by Senate (3 days)
• 26th November – 20th December 2026: Intra and inter-university transfers (3 weeks)
• 21st December 2026 – 3rd January 2027: End-of-session break (2 weeks)
• 4th January 2027: Commencement of the new academic sessiom

Students and staff are advised to take note of all dates to ensure timely registration, participation in lectures, assessments, and examinations, and to plan accordingly for holidays and transfer exercises.
