Kaduna State University to Pioneer Grey Soft Extended Reality Labs

Kaduna State University (KASU) is set to become the first university to implement Grey Soft Extended Reality (GXR) Labs, a cutting-edge technology that integrates virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR) to enhance the learning experience.

The GXR Labs will enable students to explore complex concepts in a more immersive and interactive way, particularly in science-related fields like Chemistry, Physics, and Biology. The technology is expected to revolutionize the learning experience, making it more engaging and effective compared to traditional textbook-based learning.

The Vice Chancellor of KASU, Prof. Abdullahi Ibrahim Musa, has expressed enthusiasm for the project, planning to accommodate the GXR Labs in both the ICT and Library departments. The project is expected to be funded under the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (Tetfund) intervention, underscoring KASU's commitment to embracing emerging technologies and enhancing the quality of education.
