Kano Government Reopens 15 Girls’ Secondary Schools Closed by Previous Administration

Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has announced the reopening of 15 girls’ secondary schools that were closed by the previous administration. Governor Yusuf expressed concern over the impact of the closures on the education of many students and has directed the Ministry of Education to urgently post teachers in key subjects to the affected schools.

The Governor's spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, reported that Governor Yusuf made this announcement following an inspection of Government Girls Secondary School, Albasu. The Governor also emphasized ongoing rehabilitation efforts and the commitment to improving educational infrastructure across the state.

Additionally, Governor Yusuf inspected a nearly completed 5-kilometer road project in Albasu and urged the contractor to expedite the remaining work.
