KASU Football Club thrashes Gombe State University

 

The Kaduna State University football club, KASU Crocs has thrashed the Gombe State University football club, the Jewels to a sounding victory at the main campus.

A goal scored by Mohammed Abubakar of the Chemistry Department in the 20th minute of the game put KASU Crocs ahead of their opponents. Another goal each from Ridwan Usman of the Business Administration department, Kephas Michael of the Biochemistry Department, and Hamisu Usman of the Entrepreneur Department consolidated the lead over Jewels, while a brace from Suleiman Umar (Messi) sealed victory for the Crocs.

However,  the Jewels later scored a goal which denied the Crocs a clean sheet. The match ended 6 - 1.

Some dignitaries present at the venue included the Sports Director, Gombe State University, and some members of their sports committee. While, Sports Director, Kaduna State University, Professor Simon Daniel, Acting Director of University Advancements, KASU, Alh. Tabari Usman, Chairman, KASU Alumni, and some of his executive committee members witnessed the event.
