In a brazen daylight attack, bandits abducted 287 students and the principal, Abubakar Isah, from LEA Primary and Junior Secondary School in Kuriga, Kaduna State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has sparked outrage and concern among residents and authorities.

Governor Uba Sani, accompanied by key government officials, visited the school where officials and community leaders briefed them on the abduction. According to reports, 187 students were taken from the secondary school section, while 125 were abducted from the primary school section.

Residents of Kuriga expressed shock and concern over the incident, highlighting the vulnerability of the community due to the absence of adequate security measures. Security forces, including the Kaduna State Police Command, are actively pursuing the abductors to rescue the victims.
