Kogi State Chamber of Commerce Seeks Stronger Synergy with Federal University Lokoja
The President of the Kogi State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (KOCCIMA), Chief Femi Ajisefe, has called for a stronger collaboration between Federal University Lokoja and the agency.
Chief Ajisefe disclosed this when he led a delegation in a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi and his management team at the main campus of the University.
During the visit, Chief Ajisefe expressed his delight at meeting the Vice-Chancellor and commended him for his efforts in driving numerous developmental projects in the University.

He emphasized the critical role of the business community in collaborating with FUL to foster a symbiotic relationship that would enhance operational efficiency and ensure sustainable impact.
Furthermore, Chief Ajisefe urged the University Management to nominate a new representative for FUL at the Chamber of Commerce who would replace the late member. He called for stronger collaboration, partnership, and capacity-building initiatives between the University and the business community.
Speaking also, Dr. Jan Elukpo, a former President of the Association and friend of the Vice-Chancellor, lauded the administration led by Professor Akinwumi for its remarkable performance and consistent efforts at attracting notable development to FUL since its inception. He equally advocated for a stronger synergy with the business community to ensure the rapid development of the University.

Reacting, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Olayemi Akinwumi who warmly received the delegation, highlighted the administration's efforts aimed at expanding the academic programmes of the University, including the recent approval granted by the National Universities Commission (NUC) to commence Law, Pharm.D, Medical Laboratory, Agriculture, Educational Management and Planning.
