Kwara State University Announces 13th Convocation Ceremony Programme

Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, has released the official schedule for its 13th Convocation Ceremony, set to take place from Tuesday, December 9 to Saturday, December 13, 2025.

The announcement was made on behalf of the Council, Senate, and Congregation by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh.

The week-long celebration will feature academic activities, exhibitions, sports events, lectures, awards presentations, and the formal conferment of degrees.

Programme Highlights

Day 1 – Tuesday, December 9, 2025

• Vice-Chancellor’s Press Briefing – Muhammadu Buhari Main Library, KWASU Campus, 11:00 a.m.
• Official Opening of University Units Exhibition – Immediately following the press briefing, same venue

Day 2 – Wednesday, December 10, 2025

• Library Programme – 11:00 a.m.
• Football Match (Academic Staff vs Non-Teaching Staff) – University Stadium Complex, Malete, 3:00 p.m.

Day 3 – Thursday, December 11, 2025

• Convocation Lecture – Mini Convocation Arena, 11:00 a.m.
• Convocation Play by Department of Performing Arts & Film Studies – Mini Convocation Arena, immediately after the lecture

Further events for Friday, December 12 and Saturday, December 13, will include degree conferments, awards, and closing activities, with all events holding at designated venues across the KWASU Campus. The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Jimoh, encouraged staff, students, and stakeholders to actively participate in the week’s programmes.
