Kwara State University Inducts 202 Environmental Health Scientists into National Council

In a significant milestone for Kwara State University, Malete, 202 newly qualified environmental health scientists have been officially inducted into the Environmental Health Council of Nigeria. The second oath-taking and induction ceremony, held at the institution, marked a crucial step forward for these graduates in their professional journey.

The acting vice-chancellor, Prof. Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh, emphasized the importance of upholding professional ethics and tirelessly working to protect and promote environmental health. He highlighted the vital role of environmental health professionals as unsung heroes, particularly amidst global environmental challenges exacerbated by climate change.

Prof. Jimoh challenged the inductees to develop innovative solutions to mitigate climate change impacts, promote sustainable development, and safeguard vulnerable populations from environmental hazards. He praised the university's commitment to producing graduates who are change agents in advocacy, education, and leadership.

Representing the registrar of the Environmental Health Council of Nigeria, Mr. Zakariyah Aliyu, Dr. Yakubu Muhammed Baba commended Kwara State University for its dedication to advancing environmental health education. He urged the new inductees to apply their training effectively in their professional endeavors.
