KwaraPoly Mass Communication Graduate Wins Best Fellow at 2024 Young Communication Fellowship
Mosunmola Esther Ajibade, a graduate of the Mass Communication Department at Kwara State Polytechnic, has been recognized as the best fellow at the 2024 Young Communication Fellowship, showcasing her exceptional talents.
Kwara State Polytechnic is celebrating the remarkable achievement of Mosunmola Esther Ajibade, a graduate from the Mass Communication Department, who has emerged as the best fellow at the 2024 Young Communication Fellowship. This prestigious program was organized by PR Nigeria in partnership with Image Marketer Promotion (IMP).
Reflecting the essence of the Kwara State Polytechnic anthem, which speaks to nurturing talent and fulfilling dreams, Mosunmola's journey embodies these values. Her diverse skill set as a voiceover artist, on-air personality (OAP), red carpet host, and writer has set her apart in the competitive field of communication.
Initially entering the fellowship as an alternative candidate, Mosunmola’s outstanding performance earned her the title of best fellow, along with a fully funded scholarship sponsored by the Minister of Information, Mohammed Idris Malagi, and PR Nigeria. In addition to this significant scholarship, she received a cash prize, books, and the opportunity to further her education in Nasarawa State.
The award ceremony was a significant event attended by notable figures, including Professor Saudat Salah Abdulbaqi, the first female professor from the Department of Mass Communication, who presented the award. Mr. Opaleke, vice chairman of the PR Kwara State chapter and one of Mosunmola’s lecturers, commended her impressive presentation during his closing remarks.
Her award-winning article, "The Power of Social Media in Reputation Management," showcased her deep understanding of contemporary communication challenges. Mosunmola’s articulate delivery, use of relevant examples, and practical solutions made her presentation stand out, impressing the judges and leading to her success. Notably, she skillfully referenced PR Nigeria, demonstrating her research acumen.
As part of her training, Mosunmola had a virtual conversation with Senator Soliu Mustapha, representing Kwara North Central, who expressed interest in collaborating with her and her peers, further highlighting the doors her achievement has opened.
Mosunmola Esther Ajibade’s journey from the lecture theatre at Kwara State Polytechnic to national recognition is a testament to the institution’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and the nurturing of talented individuals ready to thrive in any environment.
