Kwara State University (KWASU), in collaboration with the Genetics Society of America (GSA), organized a transformative workshop aimed at advancing excellence in bioinformatics and genetics.

Day one of the workshop featured an engaging symposium and lecture series, headlined by distinguished experts. Professor Charles O. Adetunji, renowned for his contributions to genetics, delivered a lecture on "Unlocking Genomic Big Data: Transformative Bioinformatics," shedding light on the power of genomic data in research. Dr. Olusola Elekofeyinti further enriched the program with a session on "From Genome to Drug Lead: Bioinformatics to the Rescue," demonstrating the critical role bioinformatics plays in drug discovery and development.
