 Professor Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh, Vice-Chancellor of Kwara State University (KWASU), has revealed plans to significantly upgrade the university’s teaching and learning facilities in preparation for an anticipated increase in student enrollment for the next academic year. The announcement came during his official visit to the Faculties of Education and Engineering and Technology on Thursday, August 29, 2024.

Professor Jimoh, who praised the staff of both faculties for their commitment to the institution's vision and their successful integration of new courses, emphasized the importance of innovation and development in advancing KWASU’s educational goals. He encouraged faculty members to propose new ideas that could further enhance the university's impact on both its students and the broader community.

Addressing specific requests made by the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Professor Ibrahim Laaro Abubakar, Professor Jimoh acknowledged the need for additional lecture theaters and staff offices. This request comes in light of the recent accreditation of 13 new courses within the Faculty of Education, which has expanded the faculty’s academic offerings and necessitated improved infrastructure.
