Lagos State University's TETFund Research Team to Hold Seminar on Rape Determinants Across Rural-Urban Nigeria

Lagos State University (LASU) TETFund National Research Fund (NRF) Rape Research Team is set to host a dissemination seminar to share pivotal insights from its research on "Emerging Patterns and Determinants of Rape: Comparative Study of Rural-Urban Communities in Nigeria."
The seminar, scheduled for Wednesday, November 6, 2024, will be held at the African Center of Excellence for Innovation and Transformative STEM Education (ACEITSE) Lecture Hall on LASU’s main campus in Ojo, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Under the chairmanship of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, the event will bring together researchers, policymakers, and the public to discuss the study’s findings on the factors influencing rape occurrences across Nigeria’s rural and urban communities. The seminar will highlight patterns, risk factors, and societal dynamics contributing to these incidents, with the goal of informing effective prevention and intervention strategies.
The LASU community and the general public are invited to attend and participate in this important discourse aimed at addressing a pressing societal challenge.
