Brilliance, innovation, and ambition were on display as students of Lagos State University (LASU) represented the institution at the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) Africa Master’s Tour 2025, held on Tuesday, 23rd September, at Covenant University, Otta, Ogun State.

Led by the Director of the LASU Career Development Centre (LCDC), Professor Stella Durowoju, the students seized the opportunity to learn, network, and showcase the university’s excellence on an international stage.

The global tour featured a lively networking fair where participants engaged with universities, business schools, and partners, exploring postgraduate opportunities. Panel sessions offered valuable insights into graduate admissions and the GMAT examination, with experts highlighting requirements, strategies, and best practices.

Highlights of the event included presentations such as:

  • The Key Ingredients of a Winning Application by Mr. Vheer of the Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) and ESBADE Business School.
  • Which Business Degree Is Right for Me? by Ms. Shan from BI Norwegian Business School, Mr. Ansal of London Business School, and Mr. Daniel Owonikoko, who also discussed Study Opportunities in France.

An interactive Q&A session allowed LASU students to ask practical questions on applications, funding, degree choices, and career pathways.

Another milestone moment came when the Director of LASU’s Directorate of Linkages, Partnerships and Collaborations, Professor K. O. Akinyemi, met with GMAC officials to discuss potential collaborations, including staff exchange programmes to expand LASU’s global academic network.

Commending the students, Professor Durowoju emphasized the value of international engagements like the GMAC Tour in building LASU students’ competitiveness on the world stage.
