LASU Conducts Entrance Examination for 2024/2025 HND/BSc Conversion Programme

Lagos State University (LASU) has successfully conducted the entrance examination for the 2024/2025 HND/BSc Conversion Top-Up Degree Programme, marking a critical phase in the university's mission to bridge the gap between polytechnic and university education.

The exercise took place on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the 3-in-1 Lecture Theatre, Faculty of Education, on the university’s Main Campus in Ojo.

Addressing candidates during the exercise, the Director of the School of Part-Time Studies (SPTS), Professor Oluwatobi Pemede, highlighted the strategic importance of the conversion programme. He noted that the initiative is designed to provide HND holders with equal academic opportunities, allowing them to enhance their career prospects by earning a Bachelor’s degree through a standardized curriculum.

"The HND/BSc Conversion Programme is structured to bridge the qualification gap," Prof. Pemede stated. He emphasized that the entrance examination is a vital tool for ensuring a transparent, merit-based selection process that maintains LASU’s high academic standards.

The Assistant Director of SPTS, Dr. Oluwaseun Babalola, expressed satisfaction with the smooth and orderly conduct of the applicants. He described the programme as one of LASU’s flagship initiatives, noting its capacity to attract professionals from across the country seeking a recognized academic pathway to degree status.

Applicants who participated in the examination are advised to monitor the official LASU admission portal for the release of the admission list. Successful candidates will be expected to:

Complete the payment of acceptance fees.
