LASU Post-UTME/Direct Entry Eligibility and Requirements for 2025-2026 Admissions
Lagos State University (LASU) has released detailed eligibility criteria and admission requirements for candidates seeking entry into its undergraduate programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session through UTME and Direct Entry (DE).
Lagos State University (LASU) has released detailed eligibility criteria and admission requirements for candidates seeking entry into its undergraduate programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session through UTME and Direct Entry (DE).
ELIGIBILITY FOR SCREENING
1. UTME Candidates
- Must have chosen LASU as First Choice in the 2025 UTME.
- Must have scored 195 and above in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
- Must be at least 16 years old by 30th September 2025.
2. Pre-Degree Candidates
- Must have selected LASU as First Choice institution.
- Must have scored 195 and above in the 2025 UTME.
- Must have successfully completed the LASU Pre-Degree Programme.
3. Direct Entry (DE) Candidates
- Must have obtained the official DE form from JAMB and chosen LASU as First Choice.
- Only LASU Diploma is accepted for DE admission (except for NCE holders applying to the Faculty of Education).
4. Indigenes of Lagos State
- Must have completed verification by the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC).
- Indigeneship claims will be automatically validated on the LASU admission portal.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

All candidates must possess at least five (5) relevant O’Level credits in not more than two sittings.

Medicine and Dentistry accept one sitting only.

Engineering programmes require six (6) O’Level credits including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English Language, and two other science subjects.

Aeronautic and Astronautic Engineering candidates must have credit in Further Mathematics.

All O’Level results must be uploaded to JAMB CAPS before the close of the screening portal.

The admission screening is strictly online and based on LASU's Point Grading System, which considers both UTME score and best five (5) relevant O’Level subjects.
