LASU Ventures Limited Advertises Vacancies at Bakery and Confectionery Unit

Lagos State University (LASU) Ventures Limited has announced internal and external recruitment for vacant positions at its Bakery and Confectionery unit under the University Ventures Limited.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and competent candidates for employment in the following positions:

VACANT POSITIONS

1. Baker (Bread Production)
2. Bakery Assistant (Bread Production)

DUTIES

1. Baker (Bread Production)
(i) Prepare and bake bread in accordance with established standards and production schedules.
(ii) Mix, knead, proof, and bake dough using appropriate techniques and equipment.
(iii) Monitor oven conditions to ensure consistent product quality.
(iv) Ensure strict adherence to hygiene, food safety, and quality control standards.
(v) Supervise bakery assistants and support efficient workflow in the production process.

2. Bakery Assistant (Bread Production)
(i) Assist in the preparation and production of bread.
(ii) Measure and prepare ingredients as directed.
(iii) Clean and maintain bakery equipment and work areas.
(iv) Support the Baker in daily bread production activities.
(v) Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

1. Baker (Bread Production)
(i) Minimum of Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or its equivalent.
(ii) Relevant training or certification in baking will be an added advantage.
(iii) Minimum of three (3) years’ proven experience in bread production.
(iv) Good knowledge of baking processes, ingredients, and bakery equipment.
(v) Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
(vi) Willingness and ability to work shift duties, including early morning, late evening, and weekend shifts as required.

2. Bakery Assistant (Bread Production)
(i) Minimum of Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or its equivalent.
(ii) Prior experience in a bakery or food production environment will be an added advantage.
(iii) Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
(iv) Good personal hygiene and attention to detail.
(v) Willingness and ability to work shift duties, including early morning, late evening, and weekend shifts as required.

REMUNERATION
Salary is competitive and in accordance with prevailing industry rates.
