LASU Walk-A-Thon For Sickle Cell Awareness

Department of Human Kinetics, Sports and Health Education to hold Walk-A-Thon to create awareness on sickle cell disease. 

The Department of Human Kinetics, Sports and Health Education in partnership with Lifestyle Innovations Ltd will hold a Sickle Cell Warriors Walk-A-Thon to create awareness on Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) in commemoration of the Sickle Cell Awareness Month, this September. 

The SCD Walk-A-Thon, with the theme "Sickle Cell Matters: Stronger Together, Hope in Every Step" will hold as follows: 

Date:Thursday, 28th September 2023

Time: 8:00 am to 11:00 am. 

Venue: Rally-style around the campus with posters and music interlude.

Target Audience: Members of staff, students including pre-registered student SCD Warriors, those with sickle cell traits, and all members of the University Community.
