LASUTH Honors Staff for Professional Excellence

The Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) recently celebrated the achievements of ten staff members who excelled in their professional examinations and made significant contributions to various health bodies, as reported by the News Agency of Nigeria.

Prof. Adetokunbo Fabamwo, the Chief Medical Director of LASUTH, commended the awardees for their outstanding accomplishments, recognizing their efforts despite challenges, including the 'japa syndrome' in the country's health sector.

Fabamwo expressed gratitude to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for ensuring adequate funding and approval for the hospital's initiatives, emphasizing that some initiatives are donor-driven.

In addition to acknowledging the achievements, Fabamwo mentioned that LASUTH is actively working on addressing the issue of brain drain through the implementation of the exit replacement program. This program aims to replace staff members who resign or retire, ensuring an uninterrupted flow of services at the hospital.
