In the latest chapter of student democracy at Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), Boladale Oyindamola Olamide, widely known as Mandela, has emerged victorious as the President-elect of the Students' Union Government (SUG).

Today's announcement marks the culmination of a spirited electoral contest, with Mandela, hailing from the Department of Political Science, prevailing over his contender, Adeosun Oluwaseyifunmi Frances, affectionately called Francophone, from the Faculty of Law.

Chairman of the Students' Union Electoral Committee (SUEC), Professor Olukayode Afolabi, officially declared Mandela as the President-elect, citing his commanding lead in the vote count.

Mandela's triumph was sealed with 694 votes, firmly surpassing Francophone's tally of 520 votes, affirming the student body's choice for their new leader.
