Boitumelo Nthwane has earned a doctorate degree from the University of Johannesburg, becoming the first person in her family to achieve both a bachelor’s and a doctorate.

Dr. Nthwane, who hails from a family of eight siblings, celebrated her accomplishment on social media, expressing gratitude to God and the University of Johannesburg for the opportunity. "To God be the glory!! On the 3rd of May, the University of Johannesburg has given us an opportunity to cross the stage," she shared on Facebook.

Her academic journey was challenging, requiring immense dedication and hard work. "The journey was not easy, having worked diligently from AM to PM but with God’s strength I pulled through. I have been through a lot, but today I wear scars of honor to say my struggle has made me who I am today," Nthwane remarked.

Dr. Nthwane pursued her doctorate not just for the academic accolade but to honor her calling. "Pursuing this journey was not to be counted amongst the red gown gang but to honor my calling that I believe everyone has," she explained.
