In a groundbreaking endeavor, Prince George Ogwuru, a recent graduate of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike (MOUAU), is poised to make history by attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the longest quiz marathon. Ogwuru, a 25-year-old graduate in Plant Health Management, has received official approval to embark on a 72-hour marathon quiz competition aimed at promoting lifelong learning and raising awareness about the significance of Agriculture.

The approval letter, with reference number 230614174306lmaa, states, "We are pleased to inform you that your application has been accepted under the following title: Longest Marathon as a quiz Master."

Scheduled for April 23 - 27, 2024, at the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike, Abia State, the event is expected to draw participants from various agricultural disciplines, including Crop Protection, Agronomy, Soil Science, Animal Science, Fishery, Forestry, Veterinary Medicine, Food Science and Technology, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Engineering, Rural sociology, and Extension.

Ogwuru, who graduated in September 2023 and is awaiting his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) call-up, expressed his intention to use the competition to inspire a reading culture and healthy competition among the youth.
