NANS Advocates Transparent Disbursement of Tinubu Government's Student Loans

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has emphasized the need for transparency in the disbursement of student loans initiated by the government. In a statement released on Friday in Abeokuta by NANS’ national president, Pedro Obi, the association urged the federal government to appoint individuals known for their integrity and competence to oversee the scheme, ensuring its success and sustainability.

While acknowledging the efforts of President Bola Tinubu’s administration in initiating the student loan scheme, Mr. Obi called for inclusive engagement of all relevant stakeholders in its implementation process. He stressed the significance of transparency and accountability in the disbursement of the loans, emphasizing the importance of engaging all stakeholders to ensure the success and integrity of the scheme.
