NANS President Visits Gombe State University, Passes Vote of Confidence on Acting Vice-Chancellor
The President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Comrade Olushola Oladoja, has paid a courtesy visit to Gombe State University (GSU) as part of his official tour of institutions in the North East.
During the visit, the delegation toured the University's facilities and commended the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sani Ahmed Yauta, for his exemplary leadership.
The NANS President lauded the Acting Vice-Chancellor for incorporating students into various committees of the University, recognizing students as critical stakeholders in the academic community.
The NANS leadership applauded the University Management for its transparency in handling the NELFUND student loan processes, demonstrating accountability and prioritization of student welfare.
The NANS President and the Students' Representative Council (SRC) President of GSU presented a letter of commendation and an award of excellence to the Acting Vice-Chancellor for his humility, inclusiveness, commitment to infrastructural development, academic excellence, and dedication to student welfare.
The NANS President formally passed a Vote of Confidence in the leadership of Professor Sani Ahmed Yauta, recognizing his commitment to student welfare and academic excellence.
The Acting Vice-Chancellor assured the NANS delegation that the University Management would address concerns raised regarding hostels and consider establishing a Students' Union Government (SUG) in the University, emphasizing the importance of student voices in decision-making.
