Nasarawa State University Faculty of Education Hosts Orientation for New Students
The Faculty of Education, Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), recently organized an orientation program for newly admitted undergraduate students of the 2024/2025 academic session.
The event, themed "Curbing Social Media Vices on Campus: The Collective Responsibility of Staff and Students," aimed to introduce students to the university's values, rules, and expectations.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Professor Theophilus Daniel Lagi, representing the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sa'adatu Hassan Liman, congratulated the students and emphasized the importance of adhering to the university's rules and regulations. He encouraged students to be good ambassadors of the institution and warned against engaging in social vices.
The Dean of the Faculty, Professor Usman S. Gbari, reaffirmed the university's commitment to providing a safe and supportive learning environment. He urged staff and students to reject harmful behaviors and promote positive values. The Student Faculty President, Comrade Musa Jamilu, encouraged his fellow students to remain focused on their academic pursuits and build valuable relationships.
The orientation ceremony featured nine resource persons who presented relevant topics to help students align with the university's vision and mission. The event was attended by principal officers, faculty heads of departments, directors, faculty lecturers, and students.
The orientation program marked a significant milestone in the students' academic journey, setting the tone for a productive and responsible academic session.
