National Association of Ogun State Students Appeals to Governor Abiodun for Increased Scholarships and Bursaries

The National Association of Ogun State Students (NAOSS) has issued an appeal to Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, urging him to intensify efforts in the payment of bursaries and scholarships for indigent students hailing from Ogun State.

This call was made during the NAOSS National Convention, where new officials to lead the association were elected. The convention, held at the Nigeria Labour Congress Secretariat in Abeokuta, Ogun State, from October 6th to 7th, 2023, provided a platform for Ogun students studying across various tertiary institutions nationwide to deliberate on critical issues affecting them and to elect new national officials.

A communiqué issued at the end of the convention, signed by the convention chairman, Damilola Simeon, and secretary, Yekinni Adewale, along with the communique drafting committee chairman, Yusuf Wasiu, and secretary, Olowofela Emmanuel, conveyed the students' concerns and appreciation. NAOSS, as the umbrella body for Ogun State students studying in tertiary institutions across the country, expressed its gratitude to Governor Dapo Abiodun for his victory at the Ogun State Governorship Tribunal. They also appreciated his efforts and achievements during his tenure.
