The newly-appointed Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Professor Shehu Usman Adamu, has outlined a bold agenda designed to enhance innovation and strengthen the university’s Open and Distance Learning (ODL) system.

Professor Adamu shared this vision during a congratulatory visit from the Faculty of Education staff on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at the university headquarters in Abuja.

The delegation, led by the Dean of the Faculty, Professor Bamikole Ogunleye, included the Faculty Officer, Mrs. Deborah Ubaji; Head of the Department of Educational Foundations, Professor Gabriel Job; Head of the Department of Arts and Social Sciences Education, Dr. Hakeem Olaniyi Liadi; Head of the Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education, Dr. Bala Waziri Kwata; and the Chief Clerical Officer of the faculty, Mrs. Oyintarela Abarugu.

During his remarks, Professor Adamu expressed gratitude to the Faculty of Education for the visit and highlighted several strategic areas for improvement aimed at advancing both the faculty and the university as a whole.
