National Open University of Nigeria Counselling Remains Key to Students and Staff Career Development – Dr. Omuya

Dr. Sefinat Omuya, immediate-past Director of the Directorate of Learner Support Services (LSS) and current pioneer Director of the newly established Directorate of Counselling and Career Development at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), has highlighted the central role of counselling in supporting both students and staff.

In an exclusive interview with NOUN News correspondents Debbie Nduba and Ibrahim Kabiru Sule, Dr. Omuya explained the rationale behind the creation of the new directorate, detailing how it provides guidance, career support, and development opportunities tailored to the needs of the university community.
