NELFUND Announces Closure of 2023/2024 Student Loan Applications, Sets Date for New Cycle

The Nigerian Educational Loan Fund (NELFUND) has officially announced the closure of the 2023/2024 student loan application cycle as it prepares to launch the 2024/2025 application process.

In a statement released via its official media handle on February 17, 2025, NELFUND stated: "Excited to announce the closure of the 2023/2024 student loan application cycle as we transition to the 2024/2025 application cycle, opening on February 22, 2025."

The organization also assured applicants that all pending applications for the 2023/2024 academic session are being processed to ensure that qualified students receive the necessary financial support.

Reaffirming NELFUND’s commitment to assisting beneficiaries, its Managing Director, Mr. Akintude Sawyer, highlighted that President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope agenda is accessible to all eligible Nigerians.

"As we transition, we encourage all aspiring applicants to stay informed, stay prepared, and get ready for the opportunities ahead," NELFUND urged in its statement.

The upcoming 2024/2025 application cycle is expected to provide more students with access to financial aid, aligning with the federal government’s goal of expanding educational opportunities in the country.
