NELFUND Executive Director Engages University of Ibadan Management on Student Loan Access

The Executive Director of Finance and Administration of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), Dr. Femi Fred Akinfala, paid a visit to the University of Ibadan on Friday. During his visit, he engaged in discussions with the university’s management, led by Vice Chancellor, Prof. Kayode Oyebode Adebowale.

The meeting focused on strategies to improve access for University of Ibadan students to the Federal Government’s student loan program. Both parties discussed ways to enhance the program’s impact, ensuring that more students benefit from financial support for their education. Dr. Akinfala emphasized the importance of increasing awareness of the loan program and improving its accessibility for eligible students.

The discussions also highlighted the need for effective collaboration between NELFUND and the university to facilitate a smoother application process for students. Both Dr. Akinfala and Prof. Adebowale expressed their commitment to working together to ensure the program reaches as many students as possible, particularly those in need of financial assistance.
