NELFUND to Publish List of Institutions with Complete Data Submissions for Student Verification

The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has announced that it will publish a full list of institutions that have submitted their complete student data for verification purposes on June 24, 2024. This list will include both federal and state-owned institutions and will be available on the NELFUND Student Verification System (SVS) portal.

The publication aims to ensure transparency and encourage participation from both undergraduate applicants and tertiary institutions. The move is critical for the seamless verification of applicants who wish to access the education loan fund.

The management commended federal institutions for being the first wave to complete the data submission exercise, with state-owned institutions currently in the process of uploading their data to the NELFUND SVS.

"For applicants to access the fund, their details must be included in their institution’s submitted data set on the NELFUND SVS. This allows for automatic and seamless applicant verification," stated Nasir Ayitogo, Head of Media and Public Relations at NELFUND. "Incomplete or inaccurate data submissions can invalidate the application process and disadvantage the applicants."

The process requires accurate matching of JAMB numbers, matriculation numbers, admission numbers, full names, and dates of birth to support the evaluation process. Applicants are urged to enter their data correctly when applying and ensure their email addresses are entered without error.
