NELFUND Warns Students on NIN, BVN Verification Failure

In a recent communication addressed to students, the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has warned  students of the critical importance of ensuring accurate National Identification Number (NIN) and Bank Verification Number (BVN) details during registration processes. The government body highlighted that failure to provide matching details could result in verification failure, citing fraud prevention as the primary motivation behind this stringent measure.

The advisory, disseminated to students through various channels, including social media platforms and official websites, served as a timely reminder ahead of forthcoming registration exercises.

NELFUND emphasized that the verification process depends on the alignment of provided information with the records held by the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB). "It is very important to note that NIN and BVN verification can fail if the details students provide do not match JAMB details," NELFUND noted.
