The recently appointed Commissioner of Police for Ondo State, Mr. Asabi Abiodun, extended a friendly visit to the Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) on Tuesday, signaling a commitment to bolster the already cordial relationship between the police force and the academic institution. During the visit, Commissioner Abiodun underscored the importance of maintaining peace within the university community and pledged unwavering support for the security of the students and faculty.

Commissioner Abiodun, who is familiar with FUTA from his prior role as an area commander, expressed his admiration for the university's peaceful atmosphere, stating, "I visited first as an area commander, and I have always been a part of this community. I make bold to say that the university community is a peaceful one."
