New UNIZIK VC Pledges Salary Payment for Stranded Staff Before Christmas

The newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State, Professor Bond Ugochukwu Anyaehie, has assured staff employed since 2019 who have not received salaries that they will get their first payment before Christmas this year.

Professor Anyaehie made this pledge during a post-assumption press briefing at the Senate Chamber of the university, acknowledging the challenges faced by the staff.

The assurance has brought hope to the affected staff who have been awaiting payment for several months .
