Nigerian Army Donates Classrooms, Furniture to Datti Ahmad School in Kano

The Nigerian Army has donated a four-block classroom and rehabilitated an office block at Datti Ahmad Government Secondary School, Wurure, in Gwale Local Government Area, Kano. As part of the intervention, 216 classroom furniture were also provided to improve the learning environment.

This gesture, under the Chief of Army Staff Special Intervention Programme, was officially handed over by Lt.-Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, represented by Maj.-Gen. Nosakhare Ugbo, on Saturday, September 28, 2024. Lagbaja emphasized that the initiative aims to enhance civil-military relations and promote access to quality education in the community.

Maj.-Gen. Sani Bashir, the project facilitator, explained that the intervention is part of the Nigerian Army’s Corporate Social Responsibility, supporting education and infrastructure development.
