Prof. Dilli Dogo, the esteemed Vice Chancellor of Nile University of Nigeria, has been awarded the prestigious 2024 Thomas Sankara Pan-African Leadership Prize for Excellence. This accolade was conferred by the Youth Partnership for Africa’s Development (YOUPAD), led by its President, Nwankwo Henry. 

The award recognizes Prof. Dogo's decades-long dedication to nation-building through the educational sector. His remarkable contributions are marked by integrity, prudence, human capacity development, an open-door policy, youth development, and dedicated service to God, humanity, and country. In addition to this honor, Prof. Dogo was also inducted into the Thomas Sankara Pan-African Leadership Hall of Fame, further cementing his legacy in the realm of educational leadership and nation-building.

During the award ceremony, Nile University of Nigeria received the Confederacy Commendation Certificate for its significant corporate contributions to education and the outstanding achievements recorded over the years. In his acceptance speech, Prof. Dogo emphasized the crucial role of youths in shaping Africa's future. He urged them to lead the fight against drug abuse and criminality, advocating for a prosperous and vibrant continent. "Our youths are the torchbearers of tomorrow," Prof. Dogo stated. "Their engagement in nation-building is vital for the sustainable development of Africa."
