The Nimbe Adedipe Library (NAL) at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has introduced a Work-Study Programme aimed at providing students with practical experience in the library’s Bindery section during the holiday break. The initiative, backed by the University Management, offers students the dual benefit of entrepreneurial training and earning a stipend, helping them gain valuable skills that extend beyond academic learning.

One of the programme's beneficiaries, Miss Deborah Odebunmi, expressed her excitement, noting that the experience had inspired her to pursue a future in the printing and bindery business after graduation. "This programme has not only taught me practical skills but has also given me the confidence to start my own business in this field," she said.

University Librarian, Professor Abayomi Owolabi, commended the programme, emphasizing its role in preparing students for life after university. He highlighted the importance of hands-on experience in complementing theoretical knowledge, and expressed gratitude to the University Management for their support of the initiative. "This programme enhances students' career readiness, equipping them with essential skills for the workforce," Professor Owolabi noted.

The Work-Study Programme is part of FUNAAB’s broader commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and practical skill development among its students, positioning them for success in both academic and professional pursuits.
