The Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, Professor Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, has appointed Mr. Uwanta Lawrence Ifeanyi as Special Adviser to the Vice-Chancellor on Waste-to-Wealth.

The appointment, formalized in a letter signed by the University Registrar, Dr. Chinenye Gloria Okeke, dated December 17, 2025, takes effect immediately.

Mr. Ifeanyi, a lecturer in the Department of Applied Microbiology and Brewing within the Faculty of Biosciences, is expected to leverage his expertise to develop innovative strategies that transform waste into economic value, supporting the University’s sustainability and resource management initiatives.
