The decision, communicated by the Vice-Chancellor and Chairman of Senate, Professor Maduebibisi Ofo Iwe, comes with apologies to all affected parties, including graduands, the Chancellor and Chairman of Convocation, His Royal Highness Alhaji Abubakar Shehu Abubakar IV, the Emir of Gombe, as well as the 13th Convocation Lecturer, Dr. Simeon Ehui, Director-General of the International Institute for Tropical Agriculture (IITA), Ibadan.
Professor Ofo Iwe expressed regret over any inconvenience caused by the postponement and assured the public that a new date for the Convocation Ceremony would be communicated in due course.
The University Senate emphasized its commitment to ensuring a well-organized and memorable event for all graduands and stakeholders.
A fresh schedule for the 13th Convocation is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
