North-Eastern University (formerly Pen Resource University) Warns of Admission Scam
North-Eastern University (NEU) has issued a fraud alert to prospective students and the general public, warning of individuals falsely claiming to be admission agents, affiliates, or representatives of the university.

These impostors demand payment for application/admission fees and registration fees, despite the university's free application process. To avoid falling victim to this scam, NEU advises the following precautions:
- Be aware that North-Eastern University application is free.
- Admission can only be accessed through the university's website
- The university does not work with educational agencies or agents at this time.
- The official bank is TAJ Bank; avoid using micro-finance banks.
- Verify the official email and phone number: +234911 093 5240, and +234706 148 2777.

Beware of modified email addresses or websites with added characters. Report suspicious claims to notify the police or relevant authorities immediately.
