The NAKSS election, held on Saturday, February 14, saw Faruk Yau (Hamdala) emerge victorious as President with 900 votes, while Abdulazeez Tukur was elected Secretary General. All other positions were returned unopposed.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Amina Salihi Bayero, lauded the students for their democratic engagement but issued a firm reminder that university degrees are awarded based on both "character and learning."

While congratulating the winners, the Vice-Chancellor disclosed that the University Management has launched an investigation into incidents that occurred on February 14 following the NAKSS result announcement. She warned that any individuals found guilty of misconduct would face strict disciplinary action in accordance with university regulations.

The University Management has charged the newly elected officials to view their mandates as a call to service, emphasizing the need for unity, responsibility, and the inclusive representation of the entire student body.
