NOUN's ODL System Transforms Sharafadeen, Winner of 2023 VC Essay Competition

Mr. Lawal Atanda Sharafadeen, the winner of the 2023 Vice-Chancellor’s Annual Essay Writing Competition at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), has credited the institution’s Open and Distance Learning (ODL) system for transforming his life academically, socially, and religiously.

Speaking during a live interview on NOUN 105.9 FM, Sharafadeen said, “I have both positive and negative experiences. I love reading, writing, and chatting, and the university has transformed me academically since my first degree.”

He further explained that his passion for academic excellence and the desire to contribute to knowledge inspired him to participate in the competition. “So, upon getting the information on the website, I did my research and then applied for it,” he said.
