NSP Expresses Satisfaction with Facilities at Physiotherapy Dept of MAAUN
The Nigeria Society of Physiotherapy (NSP) has expressed satisfaction with the state of the art facilities put in place for the training of Doctors of Physiotherapy at Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria.
The NSP National President, Dr Felix Odusanya Oyinlola, made the remark when he led other executive members of the association to a courtesy visit on the Founder of the university, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo after a brief facility tour on Friday.

The facility tour was conducted under the guidance of the Acting Head of Physiotherapy Department of MAAUN, Dr. Naziru Bashir Mukhtar.
Dr. Oyinlola said he was extremely happy with the facilities he saw in the Physiotherapy Department of the university which he noted were of international standard.
He said he has no doubt that with the facilities he saw in the department, the university has the capacity to produce qualified Doctors of Physiotherapy.
The NSP National President also expressed his appreciation on behalf of the association for the support being given to the profession by the Founder of the university and stressed the need for collaboration between the university and NSP for their mutual benefit.

Responding, Prof. Gwarzo appreciated the NSP National President for the visit and expressed his commitment to continue supporting Physiotherapy training and the profession at large.
As part of his philanthropic activities, Prof. Gwarzo pledged to support the Physiotherapy Department of Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital with facilities to enable regain accreditation of Medical Rehabilitation Therapists Board of Nigeria so that training of physiotherapists can continue in the facility.
He also pledged to support NSP to furnish its newly constructed secretariat at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH).
During the visit, an award of excellence plaque was presented to Prof. Gwarzo in recognition of his immense contribution to physiotherapy profession.
Other executive members of the association that accompanied the NSP National President include the National Vice President, Dr Usman Abba, National PRO 1, Muhsin Muhammad Aliyu and Chairman Establishment Committee, Jibril Sagir.
Others are Chairman Kano State chapter, Dr. Bashir Kaka, Vice Chairperson, Kano NSP, Rukayya Ibrahim Hassan, Secretary Kano NSP, Yakubu Abubakar and Assistant Secretary Kano State NSP, Fatima O. Yusuf.
