NSUK Christian Community Commends Vice-Chancellor for Promoting Peaceful Coexistence

The Christian Community on Campus (CCC) of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, on Saturday, 27th December 2025, paid a Christmas homage to Vice-Chancellor Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman in Abuja, lauding her for fostering religious harmony and peaceful coexistence within the University.

The Christian Community on Campus (CCC) of Nasarawa State University, Keffi, on Saturday, 27th December 2025, paid a Christmas homage to Vice-Chancellor Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman in Abuja, lauding her for fostering religious harmony and peaceful coexistence within the University.

Leading the delegation, Professor Gideon Amuga, Chairman-in-Council of the Chapel of Salvation, NSUK, described the visit as an opportunity to celebrate Christmas with the Vice-Chancellor and to give thanks for the sustained peace enjoyed by the University throughout the year.

Professor Amuga highlighted that the CCC represents all Christian denominations within the University and expressed gratitude to Professor Liman for creating a conducive environment where people of different faiths coexist harmoniously. He also acknowledged the Vice-Chancellor’s personal attendance at the 2025 Christmas Carol organised by the Chapel of Salvation, noting that such gestures strengthen inclusiveness and a sense of belonging.

The Christian Community further commended the University for the Christmas hospitality extended to members, describing it as thoughtful and reassuring.

In her response, Professor Liman gave glory to God for the festive season and thanked the CCC for the visit, calling it encouraging and uplifting. She commended the University community for sustaining peace throughout the year, noting that the institution remained free of man-made crises.

She described Nasarawa State University as a cosmopolitan institution reflecting Nigeria’s diversity and emphasized that its culture of tolerance and mutual respect, if emulated, could promote peaceful coexistence nationally. She urged members of the University community to uphold truth, honesty, and justice, essential principles for building an egalitarian society.

The visit concluded with prayers for the University and the presentation of a Christmas gift to the Vice-Chancellor, symbolising the spirit of the season.
