NSUK Hosts 2024 International Youth Day in Collaboration with Women In Energy Oil & Gas

Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), in partnership with Women In Energy Oil & Gas (WEOG), hosted the 2024 International Youth Day on Thursday, 22nd August. The event took place at the School of Postgraduate Studies auditorium and was officially opened by the Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe.

This year’s International Youth Day, themed "Building Sustainable Futures: Leveraging Gas for National Development—The Role of Youth & Women in Ensuring Sustainable Energy Transition in Nigeria," coincided with the first anniversary of the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), Rt. Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo, in office.

Key activities during the event included the inauguration of NSUK Vice-Chancellor Professor Sa'adatu Hassan Liman as a member of the Women In Energy Oil & Gas Organization, the cutting of the anniversary cake, a raffle draw, and the distribution of gas cylinders.
