NUC Teams Commence Accreditation Visit at UNILAG for Law, Accounting, and IRPM Programs

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) is currently hosting three accreditation teams from the National Universities Commission (NUC) for the assessment of its Law, Accounting, and Industrial Relations and Personnel Management (IRPM) programs.

The teams, led by UNILAG's Director of Academic Planning, Professor Mathew Olusoji Ilori, were formally welcomed to the institution by Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development Services), Professor Ayodele Atsenuwa, alongside Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics & Research), Professor Bola Oboh, and Acting Registrar, Mrs. Olakunle Makinde, on Monday, November 20, 2023.

Professor Atsenuwa expressed gratitude for the NUC's visit and highlighted the accreditation process's significance as a means of ensuring quality education. She affirmed UNILAG's unwavering commitment to maintaining high academic standards and ensuring all programs meet required benchmarks.

Responding on behalf of the accreditation teams, Professor I. N. Sada from the Faculty of Law, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, emphasized the importance of upholding rigorous academic standards and continuous improvement in higher education institutions. He assured that the teams would thoroughly assess the university's compliance levels and provide appropriate recommendations.
