The National Universities Commission (NUC) is lauded for its consistent program reviews across Nigerian tertiary institutions. UNILAG's Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Lucian O. Chukwu, expressed appreciation as two NUC accreditation teams visited the university to assess the B.Sc in Insurance and MBA programs. Led by Professor B F Nwinee and Paul Mbaya, the delegations, welcomed warmly at UNILAG, are tasked with evaluating program standards. The accreditation process is viewed as crucial for ensuring compliance with NUC operational standards and maintaining the quality of academic offerings at the university.

In a move to maintain educational standards, the National Universities Commission (NUC) received accolades for its consistent review of programs in tertiary institutions across Nigeria. The University of Lagos (UNILAG) Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Management Services), Professor Lucian O. Chukwu, expressed commendation during a courtesy call on Monday, November 13, 2023, by two accreditation teams from the NUC.

The visiting delegations, presently at UNILAG for the accreditation of the B.Sc in Insurance and Masters in Business Administration (MBA) programs, were escorted to the Vice-Chancellor's Conference Room by Professor Mathew Olusoji Ilori, the Director of Academic Planning.

Receiving the teams alongside the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics & Research), Professor Bola Oboh, and Acting Registrar, Mrs. Olakunle Makinde, Professor Chukwu emphasized the significance of the accreditation exercise as a means of ensuring adherence to the operational standards set by the NUC.
