NYSC Kwara State Participates in 2024 International Peace Day Celebration
NYSC Kwara State joined the 2024 International Peace Day celebration, promoting values of peace and unity among Nigerian youth.

On Tuesday, September 24, 2024, the NYSC Kwara State Coordinator, Mr. Onifade Olaoluwa Joshua, along with serving Corps Members, participated in the 2024 International Peace Day event organized by the Center for Peace and Strategic Studies at the University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria.
The event aimed to promote peace, tolerance, and understanding, aligning closely with the NYSC’s core values of national unity and integration. Mr. Onifade’s attendance highlighted the NYSC's commitment to fostering peaceful coexistence among Nigerian youth.
In his address, Mr. Onifade emphasized the importance of peace in nation-building, stating, "As young Nigerians, we have a crucial role in promoting harmony and understanding in our communities. Today’s celebration is a reminder that peace begins with us."
The event brought together various stakeholders, including students, educators, and community leaders, all united in their shared goal of advocating for a more peaceful society. Through discussions and activities, participants were encouraged to reflect on their roles in nurturing peace within their spheres of influence.
