OAU Hosts Workshop for Persons with Disabilities

Researchers of Obafemi Awolowo University, with a collaboration with the Federal College of Education (Special) Oyo, hosted an inception workshop, on June 27. The purpose of this workshop was to kick off a new research project titled "Political Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in Nigeria's General Elections (1999-2023)."

The study aims to shed light on the experiences, challenges, and opportunities faced by PWDs during electoral processes. By analyzing data spanning from 1999 to 2023, the researchers intend to provide valuable insights into the political participation of this marginalized group.
