The Career Service Centre at Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH), Igbesa, has organized a transformative 3-day training program for students. 

The training event which took place from Tuesday, August 6th to Thursday, August 8th, 2024, aimed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and industry demands.

The Rector of the institute, Dr. Abiodun Oluseye, represented by Dr. Oluyemi Odutola FCA, Dean of the School of Financial Management Studies, commended the students for seizing this unique opportunity. He encouraged them to absorb the presentations and apply the knowledge gained to their career paths.

The Head of the Career Service Centre, Mr. Ayodele Olomieja, highlighted the 3-day training programme aims to enhance graduates' employability and instill confidence in their career trajectories.

Key sessions included:

1. Remote and Flexible Work: The Impact of Remote Work on Job Opportunities by Mr. Ayannusi Adebowale, Ag. Director of ICT. The discussion covered remote work's impact and important considerations.

2. Challenges and Opportunities: Skill Gaps and Talent Shortages by Mr. Amos Oluwasegun, OGITECH alumnus and CEO of Coded Laboratory Developer. Topics ranged from Web & App Coding to Artificial Intelligence and Digital Marketing.

3. Unlocking Your Entrepreneurial Potential from Laboratory to Market led by Dr. (Mrs.) Olabisi Ademosun from Covenant University, OTA. Practical examples inspired students to believe in their potential and pursue entrepreneurial success.
