The Ogun State Ministry of Health and Nursing and Midwifery Committee, in collaboration with an enforcement team, has sealed the Nursing Department of Harvarde College of Science, Business, and Management Studies located in Obada, Ewekoro Local Government Area of the state.

The closure comes after the college allegedly offered a degree program in Nursing Sciences without accreditation from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria for six years.

Dr. Kayode Oladehinde, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, highlighted the dangers of unaccredited nursing programs, stating that they contribute to quackery in the nursing profession and pose a threat to public health.
